Gregers Wedell-Wedellsborg, the CEO of Matas, has announced his resignation to accept a leading position at a company outside the Nordic region. The announcement was made by Matas on Wednesday.
Wedell-Wedellsborg will remain in his current role until a successor is found. The company he is moving to has not been disclosed but is reportedly not a competitor to Matas.
Wedell-Wedellsborg assumed the position of CEO at Matas in 2017. During his tenure, the company has experienced substantial revenue growth. Malou Aamund, chairman of the board, expressed gratitude for Wedell-Wedellsborg’s contributions to the company.
Aamund acknowledged Wedell-Wedellsborg’s impact, stating that he and the management team have elevated Matas to an international level. She also added that his move to a significant international position was not surprising, considering his achievements at Matas.
