A 27-year-old man has partially pleaded guilty to gaining unauthorized access to personal data while employed by the Municipality of Copenhagen.
The man is accused of misusing his position to access the CPR (Central Person Register) information of 1,742 individuals. He entered his plea during a preliminary hearing at the Copenhagen City Court.
However, he denies charges of complicity in extortion and attempted murder.
The arrest occurred Wednesday morning at 6:30 AM. The preliminary hearing, where he entered his plea, took place later the same day. Preliminary hearings are being held behind closed doors to protect the integrity of the ongoing investigation.
