A 37-year-old man wearing a Coop jersey appeared before a judge in Holbæk on Wednesday after being charged with possession of over one kilogram of cocaine. The arrest occurred on Tuesday morning when police officers searched his car and discovered the illicit substance.
The case coincides with an ongoing investigation by the National Unit for Special Crime (NSK) into cocaine smuggling involving bananas found at Coop.
During the court hearing, the man’s lawyer stated that his client pleads not guilty. The defense claims the man was unaware that the substance in his possession was cocaine. The details surrounding this claim remain unclear as the judge has closed the doors to the public, restricting further information from being released.
