A 38-year-old man, suspected of attempted murder in Frederikshavn in 2022, has been extradited from Lebanon to Denmark and will face a preliminary hearing on Tuesday. North Jutland Police announced the extradition in a press release.

The suspect will appear in court in Hjørring at 09:00 on Tuesday, facing charges of attempted murder. He was arrested in Lebanon after an international warrant was issued due to information suggesting he had left Denmark.

The case dates back to March 2, 2022, at 00:47, when a 25-year-old man was stabbed and beaten with a blunt object on a street in Frederikshavn. Three other men have already been convicted in connection with the crime.

Police investigations identified four men as suspects, with three being apprehended shortly after the incident and subsequently sentenced to imprisonment.
