A man died on Thursday in a serious traffic accident on Odensevej between Assens and Odense after a collision between a car and a truck. The Funen Police reported the incident.

The deceased was the driver of the car involved. The truck driver sustained minor injuries.

According to the duty officer, initial reports suggest a head-on collision occurred between the two vehicles.

A vehicle inspector has been dispatched to the accident site to investigate the circumstances surrounding the collision. The vehicle inspector will assess factors such as the speed of the vehicles and whether braking maneuvers were attempted.

Due to the accident and the ongoing investigation by the vehicle inspector, the road has been closed at the scene. This closure is causing traffic disruptions, and police are present to manage traffic control in the area.

The police are currently in the process of notifying the deceased’s family.
