A 26-year-old man died in a car accident on Hovmosevej between Viborg and Ørum Friday evening. The Central and West Jutland Police reported that the driver lost control of the vehicle, which then rolled over onto a field.
The accident occurred when the car, carrying the 26-year-old and a 24-year-old, failed to navigate a curve, likely due to speeding. The police indicated that neither occupant appeared to be wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.
The 26-year-old driver was pronounced dead at the scene upon police arrival. The 24-year-old passenger sustained minor injuries in the accident.
Authorities have notified the family of the deceased. Police have also taken blood samples from both individuals involved in the crash.
