A 34-year-old man has been charged with making bomb threats against the Municipality of Copenhagen. The man was arrested at his residence in Aarhus V following cooperation between Funen Police and East Jutland Police. He is scheduled to appear in a preliminary hearing at the Court in Aarhus at 10:30 AM.
The prosecution will request closed doors during the hearing. The 34-year-old is also facing charges for several prior counts of death threats and threats against public officials.
The charges stem from an incident on Thursday when TV 2 received a bomb threat via email shortly after 10:00 AM. The threat targeted TV 2’s location on Kvægtorvet in Odense, prompting the evacuation of employees and a search of the area by police with explosive detection dogs. No bomb was discovered during the search.
