An 18-year-old man from Høje-Taastrup has been charged with violence following a brawl between football hooligans at Roskilde Festival on Monday. Midt- and West Zealand Police announced the charges in their daily report on Saturday.
The man was charged on Friday with violence against two individuals, including punches, kicks, and blows with a truncheon, as well as for participating in the brawl. He has pleaded not guilty to the charges.
On Monday, police at the music festival responded to three separate clashes involving football fans. According to reports, the brawls involved fans of Brøndby IF and FC Copenhagen.
The initial report of a brawl came in at 8:45 PM in the festival’s camping area. Police patrols responded to the scene, but no one present was willing to provide information or file a report.
Shortly after, another report was received regarding a brawl involving an estimated 20 to 30 football hooligans.
