Magasin du Nord has acquired the Danish fashion brand Bitte Kai Rand to bolster its commitment to Danish design and craftsmanship. The acquisition, announced in a press release, aims to leverage Bitte Kai Rand’s strong design heritage and unique brand identity.

Camilla Deichmann, head of Magasin’s venture business and future CEO of Bitte Kai Rand, expressed enthusiasm for developing the brand while honoring its history. She also noted the potential for synergy with Magasin’s existing operations and other investments.

Bitte Kai Rand, who founded the brand in 1981, expressed satisfaction that Magasin will continue the fashion house’s legacy. She highlighted the long-standing relationship between the two companies, noting that Magasin was one of the first retailers to carry the brand in 1984.

Magasin plans to market Bitte Kai Rand not only in Denmark but also in select international markets. The financial details of the acquisition were not disclosed.
