The Lego Group has reported record revenue for the first half of 2024, with sales reaching DKK 34.6 billion. This represents a 12 percent increase compared to the same period last year, driven by new product launches and strategic investments.
The company attributes its growth to the introduction of 314 new Lego sets during the period, the highest number in its history. The Lego Botanicals line and the new Formula 1 collaboration were particularly successful.
Profit after tax for the first half of the year reached DKK 6.5 billion, an increase of DKK 0.5 billion compared to the first half of 2023.
To meet growing demand, Lego has invested heavily in expanding its production and distribution capabilities. In April, a new factory opened in Vietnam to serve the Asia-Pacific region, marking the Lego Group’s sixth factory worldwide.
A combined factory and distribution center is also under construction in Virginia, USA, slated to open in 2027.
Lego continues to expand its retail presence, having opened 24 new stores this year. The company now operates a total of 1079 Lego stores in 54 countries.
