Lawyer and Former Hip Hop Champion Discovers He Is Highly Gifted

Peter Grubert, a top lawyer and former Danish hip hop champion, discovered in adulthood that he is highly gifted, which he believes has been a key to his success. This realization came after taking an intelligence test that placed him among the highest gifted percentage in the country. The test result provided clarity and understanding about his life.

Grubert’s journey to this self-discovery was marked by a feeling of luck and a need for constant stimulation. Throughout his academic life, he excelled with relative ease, leading him to question whether he truly deserved the high grades he received. This feeling persisted into his 40s until he took the intelligence test.

In the schoolyard, however, Grubert’s experience was different, and he was bullied. Despite academic success, he struggled to connect with his peers and found solace in forming his own community with another student who faced similar challenges. The experience fueled him to run for and become chairman of the student council.

Peter Grubert’s story resonates with psychologist Dea Franck, who says that gifted children need to be challenged. He continuously sought new challenges, excelling in various fields, including law, business, and even hip hop. His varied interests, he believes, have been crucial to unlocking his potential.

Lars Larsen, a lecturer at Aarhus University, says that a high IQ increases our chances of earning a lot of money, getting a higher education, avoiding disease and living long. Larsen also acknowledges that individuals with high intelligence possess better prerequisites for success.
