Krak’s Blue Book Welcomes New Danish Personalities Including Princess Isabella

The updated edition of Krak’s Blue Book, a Danish reference work, is set to be released on Thursday, featuring 101 new entries, including Princess Isabella. The book, published annually since 1910, includes biographies of prominent Danes across various fields.

This year’s edition particularly highlights figures from Danish cultural life. Among the new additions are cellist Josefine Opsahl, author Morten Pape, artist Maria Koshenkova, and designer Anker Bak.

Princess Isabella, who recently turned 18, is the youngest individual to be included in this year’s Blue Book.

The printed version of the book contains 8,245 biographies of living individuals, while the digital version boasts over 30,000 names.

A diverse range of professions are represented in the book, including chief physician Morten Frisch and police chief Kim Christiansen. Several politicians have also been added, such as MEPs Rasmus Nordqvist and Marianne Vind, along with Rasmus Stoklund, Member of Parliament and Minister of Taxation, and Jeppe Bruus, Member of Parliament and Minister for the Green Tripartite.

According to Gads Forlag, the publisher, inclusion in Krak’s Blue Book is based on professional skill, recognition within one’s field, and a significant positive influence on Danish society.

The updated edition of Krak’s Blue Book will be available for 2275 kroner.
