Jesper “Kasi” Nielsen Continues Decade-Long Legal Battle Against Pandora Despite Repeated Setbacks

Jesper “Kasi” Nielsen is persisting in his long-standing legal battle against jewelry giant Pandora, despite repeated court rejections. Nielsen believes he is entitled to DKK 12 billion from Pandora. Pandora’s legal representative, Jeppe Jensen, has accused Nielsen of fraud and wasting time, stating that the courts have rejected Nielsen’s claims multiple times.

The dispute stems from Nielsen’s sale of his share in Pandora in 2010 for nearly DKK 400 million, plus a potential bonus based on Pandora’s future earnings. Nielsen was unhappy when his company, Kasi ApS, received DKK 0 as a bonus, leading him to believe he was cheated out of billions. He subsequently filed a case against Pandora in arbitration court, which ruled in favor of the jewelry company in 2021.

Nielsen has been selling shares of his potential profit from the Pandora case to private investors, raising over DKK 30 million. He maintains that he hasn’t had the opportunity to present his documentation or call witnesses.

Despite previous defeats, Nielsen is pursuing a new arbitration case against Pandora, seeking DKK 12 billion personally, along with his family members. He also sued Pandora in the Court of Frederiksberg in the autumn of 2024, seeking a billion-kroner amount. In addition, Jesper Nielsen reported Pandora to the police for extensive fraud. The case is currently being investigated by the National Unit for Special Crime (NSK).

Nielsen’s attempts to reopen the bankruptcy estate of Kasi ApS to investigate new information have been rejected by the Maritime and Commercial Court and the Eastern High Court.

Another aspect of the legal battle involves Nielsen’s attempt to remove Boris Frederiksen, a partner at Kammeradvokaten, as trustee in the Kasi ApS bankruptcy estate. Nielsen also requested that Frederiksen hand over all communication from the arbitration case. The Maritime and Commercial Court rejected both requests, which Nielsen’s lawyer has appealed. Frederiksen has reported Nielsen to the police in the past and recommended his disqualification from management. Frederiksen declined to comment on the specifics of the case.
