East Jutland Police have located a white Renault Clio believed to be the getaway vehicle used in the violent robbery of Kejser Aarhus watchmakers on Friday morning. The car, fitted with Swiss license plates, was found in a parking lot in northern Aarhus after a public appeal for information.
The discovery came after citizens contacted the police on Saturday, following the appeal. The car was parked at the Lidl on Skejbyvej, and police are asking anyone who saw suspicious activity in the area to come forward.
The robbery, targeting used Rolex watches and other valuables, took place at the Kejser Aarhus store in Rosensgade. The perpetrators are said to have stolen watches worth several million kroner.
The police are exploring multiple leads, including the possibility of international involvement due to the Swiss license plates. Europol has been contacted to assist in the investigation.
During the robbery, the store owner, Magnus Kejser, and an employee were threatened with a pistol and held captive. Kejser described feeling the cold metal of the gun against his neck. They freed themselves after the robbers left by breaking a window.
