Independent Member of Parliament Mike Fonseca has filed a lawsuit against Member of Parliament Monika Rubin following a statement she made regarding his girlfriend.

Rubin confirmed receiving a summons from Fonseca, stating in a text message to the media that she had expected it.

The legal action stems from Rubin’s 2023 criticism of Fonseca’s relationship with a girl who was 15 years old at the time.

The controversy surrounding Mike Fonseca’s relationship previously led to his departure from the Moderates party.
