HØJ Elite faced a setback in their debut handball league match, losing 26-27 to Mors-Thy Håndbold. The newly promoted team, featuring stars like Hans Lindberg, Michael Damgaard, and Hampus Wanne, struggled to overcome the experienced league club.

Mors-Thy Håndbold maintained a lead for the majority of the match held on Wednesday night, but HØJ managed to tie the score briefly in the second half. Mors-Thy quickly regained control, establishing a five-goal lead that proved difficult for HØJ to counter.

Despite a late surge in the final phase, HØJ ran out of time and ultimately suffered a narrow defeat. Tom Nikolajsen emerged as HØJ’s top scorer with seven goals. Michael Damgaard and Hampus Wanne only contributed four goals combined, while Hans Lindberg scored a single penalty goal.

In another match, Aalborg Håndbold secured a dominant 37-30 victory over Skanderborg AGF. Thomas Arnoldsen led Aalborg with nine scores, followed by Lukas Nilsson with eight and Buster Juul with seven. Marinus Munk, who recently extended his contract until 2029, made a comeback for the team.
