Heavy Rain and Thunderstorms Expected in Eastern Denmark Friday Morning

Eastern Zealand, Lolland, Møn, and Falster are under a warning for heavy rain and thunderstorms Friday morning, with up to 35 millimeters of rain expected. The Danish Meteorological Institute (DMI) advises residents to take precautions.

The heavy rainfall may cause problems for morning traffic and could lead to flooding in basements. However, the meteorologist notes that the rain is needed to moisten the dry soil. Residents are advised to close windows and protect valuables in basements prone to water damage.

The showers are expected to subside by Friday afternoon and evening, with potential sunshine in eastern areas. Jutland will experience more cloud cover. Temperatures will range from 14 to 18 degrees Celsius.

Saturday is forecasted to be relatively pleasant with sunshine and a few showers, with temperatures remaining between 15 and 18 degrees Celsius.

Sunday will be mostly dry with a chance of showers and some sunshine. Temperatures are expected to reach 20 to 21 degrees Celsius, making it the warmest day of the weekend.
