Steven Plucnar Jacobsen will return to GOG next summer with the aim of helping the team reclaim the Danish handball championship. The line player, currently with Rhein-Neckar Löwen in the Bundesliga, previously played for GOG’s youth and senior teams.
Plucnar expresses his desire to contribute to the development of young players and bring his international experience to the South Funen club. His return is motivated by a strong desire to win and help build a strong team.
The 24-year-old, originally from Zealand, joined GOG as a boarding school student and progressed through their talent system. He played for GOG’s first team from 2019 to 2021 before moving to Lugi in Sweden, KIF Kolding, and finally Rhein-Neckar Löwen.
GOG director Kasper Jørgensen highlights the significance of Plucnar’s return, emphasizing that it sends a strong signal to the club and its supporters. He notes that Plucnar is a product of their talent development program, understands the club’s culture, and has shown positive development throughout his career.
