Green Concert Tickets Sold Out, Warning Issued About Ticket Fraud

For the third consecutive year, all tickets for the Green Concert (Grøn) have sold out, with this year’s tickets disappearing at an even faster rate. This has prompted warnings about potential ticket fraud.

The Muscular Dystrophy Foundation, which has organized Grøn in collaboration with Tuborg for over 40 years, is urging concertgoers to be cautious. Theis Petersen, fundraising manager at the Foundation, notes that the high demand and sold-out status can tempt individuals to engage in fraudulent ticket sales.

The Green Concert tour kicks off on Thursday in Tårnby and will visit eight Danish cities over the next ten days, including Kolding, Aarhus, Odense, Næstved, Aalborg, Esbjerg, and Valby. This year’s lineup features popular artists such as Gilli, Medina, Suspekt, and Benjamin Hav.

Petersen explains that ticket fraud commonly occurs when individuals purchase tickets outside of official channels. This can involve paying for a ticket that is never received or a single ticket being sold to multiple buyers. Once a ticket is scanned, it becomes invalid for further use, leaving victims to discover the fraud upon arrival at the concert.

While awareness of ticket fraud has increased, some individuals still fall victim to scams. Grøn encourages fans to only resell tickets through their official resale platform, but tickets are still widely sold on social media platforms like Facebook.

The primary concern is ensuring the public is aware of the risks associated with buying tickets on social media and other unofficial platforms. If you experience ticket fraud, Grøn advises reporting the incident to the police, contacting your bank or MobilePay, and informing Grøn about the fraud.
