Cancer Plan 5, containing 36 initiatives, has been unveiled by the government. The plan includes measures to help breast cancer patients manage hair loss and prohibits tanning beds for individuals under the age of 18.
Minister for the Interior and Health Sophie Løhde (V) presented the plan on Friday at Zealand University Hospital in Køge. This initiative aims to improve cancer prevention and treatment across the country.
Among the key focuses of Cancer Plan 5 are providing more support to breast cancer patients experiencing hair loss as a side effect of treatment and safeguarding young people from the harmful effects of tanning beds by enforcing a ban for those under 18. Several of these initiatives have already been reported in the media.
