A police officer from Funen Police was sentenced to 30 days of unconditional imprisonment on Thursday for abuse of office.
The officer pleaded guilty to 21 of the 29 charges against him. These charges include taking pictures of a presentation from the police’s intelligence and analysis unit about the Korsløkkegruppen gang.
The 39-year-old officer, who is currently suspended from duty, appealed the verdict immediately. He had previously explained in court that he believed there was an official reason to take the pictures, stating that he worked in the police’s operations center and intended to review them later during his free time.
The verdict was delivered in the Court in Odense.
