A four-month-old infant has died from injuries sustained from gross violence, according to police. The parents, a couple from Midtsjælland, were arrested and remanded in custody on Sunday afternoon in connection with the incident.

The father is accused of committing the violent acts against the child, while the mother is charged with complicity. Despite receiving hospital treatment, the infant passed away Monday evening.

Both parents have pleaded not guilty to the charges. They have also appealed the district court’s decision to keep them imprisoned to the High Court.
