Four Arrested in Connection with Violent Watch Store Robbery in Aarhus

Four men have been arrested in connection with the violent robbery of a watch store in Aarhus, Denmark, which occurred less than a week prior. East Jutland Police announced the arrests in their daily report on Thursday.

A judge in the Court in Aarhus will determine later today whether the suspects will be remanded in custody. The arrested men, aged 27 to 62, are all foreign nationals.

The robbery targeted Kejser Aarhus in Rosensgade on the morning of May 23, where two men stole watches valued at several million kroner. During the incident, the owner and an employee were threatened and restrained in a back room. One of the victims reported that a pistol-like object was pressed against his neck.

After smashing a window, the victims escaped and sought assistance from a neighboring hairdresser, with blood dripping from their hands. The store targeted sells used Rolex watches, among other items.

A Renault Clio with Swiss license plates was reportedly used as the getaway vehicle. Following a public appeal, the car was located by citizens in a parking lot near a Lidl on Skejbyvej.

Police suspect that two of the arrested men were directly involved in the robbery, while the other two participated in the crime in some capacity. The police have not yet released any information regarding the suspects’ pleas.
