Henrik Sass Larsen, a former minister, alleges that the Social Democratic party requested his resignation following the public announcement of an indictment against him for possession of abuse material.

According to Larsen, the Social Democrats contacted his lawyer to convey the request for his resignation. He believes the call originated from the party secretary.

While Larsen states he has retained his membership in the party, Social Democratic party secretary Lasse Ryberg has declined to confirm or deny the call when questioned by the media.
