Former Embassy of the United Arab Emirates in Østerbro is for Sale

A prime property in Copenhagen’s Østerbro district, formerly the embassy of the United Arab Emirates, is now on the market. Located at Øster Alle 33, the building boasts a desirable location next to Fælledparken and opposite Parken stadium.

The brokerage firm Colliers has been entrusted with the sale of the property, which offers over 1200 square meters of space. The United Arab Emirates embassy is relocating, making the building available for a new owner.

Ditlev Juul, a commercial real estate agent at Colliers, suggests that the ideal buyer would likely be someone seeking a residential property or a company in need of a headquarters. However, Juul notes that using the property as a company domicile would require municipal approval.

The property’s last transaction occurred in August 2018, with a price of DKK 85.7 million. The current asking price is higher than the previous sale price, reflecting investments in renovations.

The property includes 10-12 parking spaces and features a high level of security, including fencing, video surveillance, a guardhouse, and a security room in the basement.

The property previously made headlines in 2022 when Ambassador Fatema Khamis Al Mazrouei was reassigned to Norway and the embassy closed, resulting in unpaid bills for several Danish companies involved in renovation and security work.
