Flemming Østergaard, the former FC Copenhagen boss, is selling his villa in Skodsborg after 28 years due to his wife’s Alzheimer’s disease. The house, which holds many memories, is being put up for sale for an undisclosed amount.
Østergaard announced the sale in a Facebook post, describing it as “one of the most difficult decisions” of his life. The villa, located on Skodsborg Strandvej with a backyard facing Øresund, has been the setting for numerous family moments and gatherings.
He stated that he and his wife have found a new home nearby, only 400 meters away, which will simplify their daily life. The new residence features a balcony where they can continue to enjoy the sea view.
Østergaard, formerly the chairman of Parken Sport & Entertainment, purchased the 268 square meter villa in 1997 for 6.8 million kroner. The latest public assessment from 2022 values the property at 28.9 million kroner. While the Facebook post mentions the emotional significance of leaving the house and its garden, it does not specify the asking price.
