Five individuals have been arrested in Serbia and charged with orchestrating the shipment of substantial amounts of narcotics to Nordic countries, including Denmark. This action was part of a coordinated effort involving Danish authorities and Serbian police, who dismantled the network.
The arrests are connected to a broader case that has already resulted in multiple prison sentences in Denmark. The Serbian network is accused of delivering narcotics and opioids to Denmark.
According to Lars Feldt-Rasmussen, deputy police inspector at the National Unit for Special Crime (NSK), the collaboration has resulted in the seizure of over 25 kilos of hard drugs and more than 200,000 pills. Eurojust, the EU’s unit for cooperation between national prosecution authorities, announced the arrests in a press release.
