A 15-year-old boy is scheduled to appear in a preliminary hearing in Randers on Friday following his arrest on Thursday in connection with a violent incident in Glesborg, Djursland. East Jutland Police announced the arrest on X.

The arrest was made after a minor girl reported a violent experience involving the boy. According to a press release issued on Thursday, the boy allegedly approached and grabbed the girl.

East Jutland Police stated that they are taking the case “very seriously” due to interrogations and findings made during the arrest, and are conducting an investigation to fully clarify the events.

The prosecutor will request both closed doors and a reporting ban during the preliminary hearing. Because of this, East Jutland Police has declined to answer questions about the specific charges against the boy.

If the hearing is held behind closed doors, public access to the charges would typically be possible. However, a reporting ban could restrict the ability to report on the proceedings.
