FC Nordsjælland’s women’s team has secured a spot in the Champions League qualification for the second consecutive year after drawing 0-0 against Fortuna Hjørring. The result, achieved in their away match, ensured they maintained their second-place position in the Gjensidige Women’s League.

The team needed at least a point to secure their Champions League qualification ticket.

HB Køge clinched the bronze medals and will participate in the Europa Cup qualification, a tournament being played for the first time just below Champions League level. They defeated AGF 2-1 at home to finish with 38 points.

Brøndby’s women also ended with 38 points after a 1-0 victory over OB, however, they missed out on the medals, but will still participate in European competition next season.

Fortuna Hjørring had already secured the championship title and Champions League qualification more than a month ago. The match against FC Nordsjælland took place at Nord Energi Arena in Hjørring, where celebrations were held for the hosts’ gold medals.
