FC Nordsjælland (FCN) has completed the transfer of 20-year-old midfielder Mario Dorgeles to Portuguese club SC Braga in a significant deal. The Superliga club ranks the sale among the top ten largest in its history.
While FCN has not disclosed the exact transfer fee, SC Braga has announced the acquisition of Dorgeles for 11 million euros, which is about 82 million kroner. The agreement also includes potential bonuses of up to 2 million euros (approximately 15 million kroner) for FCN.
FCN’s football director, Alexander Riget, expressed satisfaction with the transfer, stating that it benefits both the club and the player. He noted Dorgeles’ development from a young talent to an established player, particularly highlighting his performance in the spring season. Riget added that the timing was right for Dorgeles to pursue new challenges after three seasons with FCN, and that the club received suitable compensation.
Dorgeles himself acknowledged the hard work and challenges he faced during his time at FCN. He expressed his satisfaction with ending his tenure on a high note, having demonstrated his capabilities during the past season. He played 83 games and scored three goals for the club. He debuted for the Ivorian national team in 2025.
Dorgeles has signed a contract with SC Braga that extends until 2030.
