FC Copenhagen Wins Danish Superliga Championship

FC Copenhagen (FCK) clinched their 16th Danish championship title with a decisive 3-0 victory against FC Nordsjælland (FCN) in the Superliga’s final round. The win secured their lead over FC Midtjylland (FCM) by a single point, avoiding a last-minute gold drama.

The victory was sealed with an early goal by FCK winger Elias Achouri, setting a positive tone for the match. Achouri’s goal, assisted by Victor Froholdt, came within the first two minutes, easing the tension at Parken stadium.

Meanwhile, FCM struggled but ultimately defeated Randers FC 3-2 at home. Despite FCM’s victory, it was not enough to overtake FCK’s lead.

Achouri passed the ball to striker Jordan Larsson, who made it 2-0 early in the second half. Shortly after Kevin Diks scored a goal on a penalty kick increasing the lead to 3-0.

The game also saw some injuries, with Andreas Cornelius and Gabriel Pereira being replaced. Kevin Diks, making a comeback from injury, also played his farewell match for FCK.

In Herning, Randers player Elies Mahmoud scored to make it 2-1 after 73 minutes, and although Edward Chilufya scored twice in the final phase for FCM and secured a narrow victory, there was not much more to be gained in relation to the gold.

The final whistle blew at Parken, confirming FCK’s championship win in front of 35,972 spectators.
