FC Copenhagen continued their winning streak with a comfortable 2-0 victory over Vejle at home in Parken on Saturday. This marks their third win in just over a week, including a Champions League qualifier.
The home team secured the win within the first half-hour, scoring both goals and maintaining control throughout the match without significant difficulty.
The game began with a high tempo, but an early misstep by FCK’s full-back Rodrigo Huescas gave Vejle a scoring opportunity, which Mikkel Duelund missed.
Shortly after, FC Copenhagen launched an intense attack, resulting in Lukas Lerager scoring from the edge of the box after a pass from Thomas Delaney.
A penalty initially awarded to FCK was later overturned following a VAR review.
However, Jordan Larsson extended FCK’s lead to 2-0 after 25 minutes, when he dribbled into the box unchallenged and scored.
Vejle, despite a promising start and significant possession, struggled to generate meaningful scoring chances.
FC Copenhagen maintained control in the second half, limiting Vejle’s opportunities.
Magnus Mattsson nearly scored for FCK in the second half, while Vejle came close to a consolation goal from a set piece late in the game.
FCK now prepares for their European return match against Drita in Kosovo on Tuesday, following a 2-0 victory in the first leg.
