FC Copenhagen Receives Another Fine for Pyrotechnic Use

FC Copenhagen has been fined 135,000 kroner following an incident involving the use of pyrotechnics by their fans during an away game against Randers FC in early May. The fine was issued by Fodboldens Disciplinærinstans (Football’s Disciplinary Body).

A total of 51 pyrotechnic devices were ignited, with 19 during the first half and 32 after the final whistle at Cepheus Park in Randers. The referee’s report detailed the incidents, noting that the fans in the away section were also masked.

This latest fine adds to a growing list for FCK, with the Disciplinary Body highlighting the numerous reports concerning the club over the past year. According to reports, since the summer of 2023, fines totaling 10.4 million kroner have been issued, with FCK accounting for 4.1 million kroner of that amount.

The club has expressed its frustration with the ongoing issue of illegal fireworks, describing it as “damn annoying” in a statement to the media. FCK has two weeks to appeal the penalty.

The match in question saw FCK secure a 4-0 victory over Randers. Shortly after, FCK clinched the championship title with a 3-0 win against FC Nordsjælland.
