Emma Sehested Høeg, the 31-year-old Danish multi-talent, delivered a captivating performance at the Heartland Festival, solidifying her status as a rising star. Her blend of musical styles and charismatic stage presence left a lasting impression on the audience.

The Greenfield stage was packed as Høeg took command, showcasing a unique mix of jazz and dream pop that resonated with the crowd. Known for her versatility as an actress, filmmaker, and musician, Høeg effortlessly captivated the audience.

Høeg’s performance included both Danish and English songs, delivered with an alluring intensity. Tracks like “Waste Your Time On Me,” “Balance With You,” and “Beyond” were particularly impactful, with the latter featuring her performing on her bassist’s shoulders.

Despite her commanding presence, Høeg displayed a charming humility, expressing gratitude to the audience and sharing personal anecdotes. Her humor and vulnerability further endeared her to the crowd, creating an intimate atmosphere.

One of the concert’s highlights was the performance of “Svært at være fantastisk” (“Hard to be Fantastic”), a collaboration with Andreas Odbjerg. This lively calypso tune transformed the festival grounds into a massive carnival parade, led by Høeg’s infectious energy.

Earlier in her career, she performed under the name Dame Dearest. She has also received the Crown Prince Couple’s Stardust Prize in 2023.
