An 81-year-old cyclist died after being struck by a car on Route 16 between Viborg and Ørum Thursday morning. Police confirmed the fatality, prompting a swift response from emergency services.

The accident occurred shortly before 11 a.m., triggering the dispatch of police, rescue personnel, and a medical helicopter to the scene. Due to the severity of the incident, Route 16 was temporarily closed in both directions to allow a vehicle inspector to conduct a thorough investigation.
