An 18-year-old man died Tuesday afternoon following a single-vehicle truck accident in Janderup, west of Varde. The incident occurred on Hannevangsvej at approximately 2:00 PM when the truck, for reasons yet unknown, veered into a ditch and collided with a tree.

The young man, who was a passenger in the truck, was transported to a hospital but succumbed to his injuries.

The driver of the truck, a 47-year-old man, sustained injuries that are not considered life-threatening.

Police have notified the deceased’s family.
