Ed Sheeran Concerts in Øresundsparken Cause Traffic Disruptions

Concertgoers attending Ed Sheeran’s sold-out shows in Øresundsparken from Thursday to Sunday should prepare for traffic disruptions and consider using public transport or cycling. The four concerts are expected to draw up to 180,000 attendees and will affect traffic in the area.

Amager Strandvej will be closed from Hedegaardsvej to Søvænget between 2:00 PM and midnight from Thursday to Sunday. Public parking in the area is extremely limited, so attendees are advised to take alternative transportation.

Metro passengers arriving at Femøren Station will be greeted with a special audio message from Ed Sheeran starting from 1:00 PM on concert days. Personal greetings from the artist will also be displayed on information screens in trains and at stations.

The Danish Meteorological Institute (DMI) forecasts a risk of heavy rain over Tårnby from 4:00 PM on Thursday. Up to 35 millimeters of rain could fall locally within 6 hours.

When Ed Sheeran performed in Øresundsparken in 2022, some concertgoers experienced overcrowded and hot trains, long waits, and a lack of information while using the metro. Ed Sheeran’s concerts in Denmark in 2024 are part of his European tour entitled “Mathematics”.
