A young man drowned in Heaven Lake near the Roskilde Festival on Wednesday, according to Midt- and Vestsjællands Police.

The incident prompted a large emergency response, with ambulances, rescue vehicles, and police patrols rushing to Darupvej in the direction of the lake. A helicopter was also reportedly called to the scene.

The lake is situated outside the Roskilde Festival area.

Police have notified the man’s relatives and stated that they will not be releasing any further information at this time.
