Distribution of Danish European Cup Tickets Clarified

FC Copenhagen’s cup victory has reshuffled Denmark’s European qualification landscape, impacting several Superliga teams. With FCK securing a Champions League spot, other teams will participate in the Europa League and Conference League.

FC Copenhagen’s triumph in the cup final guarantees them a spot in the Champions League’s second qualifying round. As the Danish champions, their qualification triggers a chain reaction affecting other teams vying for European competition.

FC Midtjylland, finishing second in the Superliga, now inherits the Europa League spot initially intended for the cup winner. This elevates their status, granting them a seeded position in the Europa League’s second qualifying round.

Brøndby also benefits from FCK’s victory, securing a direct entry into the Conference League’s second qualifying round. This eliminates their need to participate in a playoff match for a Conference League spot.

Randers FC, finishing fourth in the Superliga’s championship play-offs, now has the opportunity to compete for a Conference League spot. They will face Silkeborg IF, the losing cup finalist, in a playoff match.

The winner of the Randers FC versus Silkeborg IF match will join Brøndby in the Conference League’s second qualifying round. This match determines the final Danish representative in the Conference League.

The draw for all four Danish teams participating in the Champions League, Europa League, and Conference League will take place on June 18. This event will determine their opponents in the upcoming European tournaments.
