The number of homes for sale in the country has decreased at the beginning of September, according to figures from Boligsiden.
Houses, condominiums, and holiday homes have experienced declines of 1 percent, 2.3 percent, and 5 percent, respectively, compared to the previous month.
The supply of condominiums has fallen most sharply, dropping by 19.4 percent nationwide compared to the same period last year, particularly in the Copenhagen area, where the supply has decreased by a third.
Birgit Daetz, Communications Director and housing economist at Boligsiden, attributes the overall decrease to typical seasonal trends and a high volume of home sales this year.
Jeppe Juul Borre, chief economist at Arbejdernes Landsbank, notes that the supply of homes has fallen by just over six percent in the last four months, when adjusted for seasonality.
The decline in available condominiums is attributed to high demand, especially in the Municipality of Copenhagen, where the supply remains at a record low with only 1165 condominiums for sale.
Daetz also pointed out that the limited availability of apartments is contributing to steadily increasing prices, particularly in Copenhagen.
