Danish Weather Forecast: Calmer Weekend Expected After Week of Rainfall

After a week of heavy rainfall, Denmark is expected to experience a calmer weekend with cloudy conditions and potential sunshine. According to Trine Pedersen, a duty meteorologist at the Danish Meteorological Institute (DMI), the weather will be influenced by a shift in wind direction, bringing cooler and more humid air from the Atlantic.

This change in air mass will displace the unstable conditions that led to recent heavy rain and cloudbursts. Friday will be mostly cloudy, but there is a chance of occasional sunshine, with temperatures ranging from 18 to 25 degrees Celsius. The wind will be light to fresh, coming from the west.

Saturday is expected to be another cloudy day, but the sun may break through, especially in the afternoon. Temperatures will be between 18 and 23 degrees Celsius, with a light to moderate westerly wind.

Sunday’s weather will be similar to Saturday’s, with a partly cloudy sky and a chance of showers. However, most of the day should remain dry. Temperatures will range from 18 to 22 degrees Celsius, with a light to fresh wind from the west and northwest.

Earlier on Friday morning, DMI issued a warning for dense fog in many parts of Zealand, which was expected to clear by 8:00 a.m.
