FC Copenhagen leads Danish teams with seven Champions League appearances, marking their seventh time in the tournament.

AaB participated twice, first in 1995/96 and again in 2008/09. In their second appearance, they finished third in their group, advancing to the UEFA Cup where they were defeated by Manchester City in the round of 16 after penalties.

Brøndby played in the Champions League in 1998/99, facing a challenging group including Bayern Munich, Manchester United, and Barcelona. Despite a surprising 2-1 win against Bayern, they did not secure any further victories.

FC Copenhagen reached the round of 16 in both 2010/2011 and 2023/24. They were subsequently eliminated by Chelsea and Manchester City, respectively.

FC Nordsjælland qualified for the 2012/13 Champions League group stage after winning the Danish championship in 2012. They earned one point in a group with Juventus, Shakhtar Donetsk, and Chelsea.

FC Midtjylland became the fifth Danish team to reach the Champions League group stage in the 2020/21 season. They finished fourth in a group featuring Liverpool, Atalanta, and Ajax, earning two points.
