The Danish Meteorological Institute (DMI) has issued a warning for heavy rain and potential cloudbursts in the northern region of Jutland, starting tonight and lasting until Thursday. The advisory, posted on DMI’s website, indicates that the heavy rainfall will be coupled with strong gale-force wind gusts along Jutland’s west coast.
In response to the severe weather forecast, Alm. Brand insurance company is proactively contacting up to 5,000 customers in the potentially affected areas via text message.
Jan Graversgaard, Director of Building and Housing at Alm. Brand, advises residents to take precautionary measures, including securing outdoor items such as grills, garden furniture, and pots. Additionally, he recommends closing windows and lowering flagpoles to minimize potential damage from the anticipated strong winds and heavy rain.
