The Danish Meteorological Institute (DMI) has lifted its heavy rain warning for most of Denmark, following two days of alerts across the country. However, a warning for severe weather (category 1) remains in effect for Funen and Lolland-Falster.

DMI issued the announcement via social media platform X.

The institute also maintains a warning for local flooding (category 1), indicating that weather developments could still impact the environment and outdoor activities.

Earlier in the week, a more severe warning for very dangerous weather (category 3) was in place on Monday and Tuesday, signifying a high risk of disruption to the environment and societal functions.

The warning was downgraded to heavy rain (category 2) on Tuesday afternoon.

The heavy rain caused disruption to train traffic on Tuesday evening between Ringsted, Sorø, and Slagelse.
