Danish Band Ulige Numre Reunites After Ten Years and Releases New Music

The Danish rock band Ulige Numre has reunited after a decade and released new music, according to their Facebook page. The band, known for hits like “Frit Land,” “København,” and “Blå,” broke up in March 2017.

The band members – Jacob Ulstrup, Lasse Ziegler, Nick Lee Jerlung, Teis Lindeskov Søgaard, and Carl Emil Petersen – shared that they secretly met to make plans, play, and work on new music, leading to the decision to reunite.

Frontman Carl Emil Petersen has released three albums since the breakup. He also received the award for Danish songwriter of the year at the Danish Music Awards in 2015 for his work on Ulige Numre’s last album.

According to a press release reported by Soundvenue, the band stated they missed playing together. Their new song, “Du skal ikke gå alene mere” (You Shouldn’t Walk Alone Anymore), is about daring to reconnect with old friends.

The band emphasized the strong friendships forged through making music together since their teenage years and their desire to explore the current sound of Ulige Numre.

Accompanying the reunion, Ulige Numre announced a tour next spring, with performances scheduled in Odense, Aalborg, Aarhus, and Copenhagen.
