A 50-year-old man and his 42-year-old wife have died in what police are calling a “family tragedy” in Allerød. North Zealand Police announced the deaths early Thursday morning on social media.
Police have stated that the incident was not an accident and that there is no perpetrator at large.
The couple’s two children are now being cared for by social services and the wife’s family.
Authorities were called to Statentevej in Allerød late Wednesday evening to investigate a suspicious circumstance. The police presence included investigators, forensic technicians, emergency services, and a dog patrol.
David Buch, duty officer at North Zealand Police, confirmed the ongoing investigation but declined to provide specific details about the circumstances surrounding the deaths. He indicated that police would remain at the scene for several more hours. Relatives of the deceased have been notified.
