Copenhagen News Overview: Safety, Metro Expansion, Waste Management, and Talking Statues

A vast majority of Copenhagen residents feel safe in their neighborhoods, according to the latest annual safety survey conducted by the Municipality of Copenhagen. The Kongens Enghave district, located on the border between Amager and Vesterbro, is reported as the area where most people feel safe. However, feelings of safety may vary in other districts.

Copenhagen City Hall has identified eight potential new metro lines and wants the Metro Company to investigate the possibilities for these expansions in more detail. Several of these lines would extend into neighboring municipalities, including Gentofte, where the Metro Company will explore a line from Tuborg Harbor in Hellerup to Copenhagen Airport.
