Copenhagen Handball will continue to operate, albeit at a reduced level, after failing to find new owners. Kim Mikkelsen, who has owned the club since its inception in 2013, has been searching for a successor since November.
Despite the unsuccessful search, the club will not shut down. Louise Svalastog, Copenhagen Handball’s director, announced on the club’s website that the business will continue with a lower budget.
Svalastog emphasized the importance of Mikkelsen’s continued support, stating that it creates an important foundation for the future. She also highlighted the need for increased revenue generation to ensure a competitive and broad squad.
Mikkelsen has consistently provided financial support to Copenhagen Handball since its founding, covering financial gaps amounting to millions of kroner over the years.
