Cocaine has been discovered in 12 supermarkets across two police districts in Denmark, according to the National Unit for Special Crime (NSK). The discoveries are connected to an ongoing investigation involving narcotics concealed within banana boxes.
The findings were made in stores belonging to the Coop chain on Monday and Tuesday. Kvickly in Kalundborg is among the affected locations.
The Coop chain is fully cooperating with the police in their investigation.
NSK initially announced the case on Wednesday morning, describing it as involving a “larger quantity” of cocaine. The 12 stores are located in North Zealand Police and Mid- and West Zealand Police districts.
