Mathias Kvistgaarden will not participate in Brøndby’s training camp due to ongoing discussions with another club regarding a possible transfer. The Superliga club announced this on their website when revealing the squad for the training camp.

The club stated that Kvistgaarden’s absence is due to Brøndby IF being in talks with another club concerning a potential transfer. Speculation about the 23-year-old’s departure from Brøndby this summer has been circulating since his debut for the national team in June and his subsequent participation in the U21 European Championship.

While it was previously reported that English club Norwich had made an offer for Kvistgaarden, Brøndby has not confirmed whether Norwich is the club they are currently in discussions with. Kvistgaarden debuted for Brøndby’s first team in 2020 and has played 126 games for the club, scoring 47 goals. In the most recent Superliga season, he ranked second on the league’s top scorer list with 17 goals.
